From Volunteer Training to Fire Engines: A Brilliant Day of Learning and Celebration

We had a fantastic turnout for our Volunteer Award Lunch and training, joined by our local firefighters on Wednesday, 3rd June!

The afternoon kicked off at GRACE HQ with a wonderful opening talk from Yvette, our very own Volunteer Coordinator, who welcomed everyone and highlighted the incredible impact our volunteers have on the community.

Following this, we were delighted to welcome the crew from Kirkintilloch Community Fire Station. The firefighters delivered an engaging and vital safety talk, sharing essential insights with our team. But the excitement didn’t stop indoors—once the presentations wrapped up, some of our attendees even got the chance to go outside and sit inside the real fire engine!

To wrap up a brilliant day, everyone gathered to enjoy a delicious spread of food, cakes, and snacks. It was a perfect opportunity to socialise, connect, and celebrate the hard work of our amazing volunteer team. All volunteers also received special gifts as a small token of our massive appreciation.
