Saturday 27th September – Old Stirling Bridge
On Saturday, our GRACE group proudly took part in Recovery Walk Scotland 2025, beginning with the moving Roses in the Forth Ceremony at the Old Stirling Bridge. Each of us placed a red rose in the river – a moment of remembrance for those no longer with us but never forgotten.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to:
- SRC –Scottish Recovery Consortium for funding the minibus, making our journey to Stirling relaxed and comfortable.
- ADP – Alcohol Drug Partnership for providing bottled water, crisps, sweets and chocolates that kept spirits high along the way.
Led by our CEO Robert, carrying the GRACE banner, we joined thousands of others from across the country to walk through Stirling town centre. With Rickie’s playlist lifting the atmosphere, we sang, danced, and celebrated together before gathering in the park for food, music, and community fun.
The day was filled with laughter, connection, and hope – even the rain kindly waited until we were back on the bus!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this day so special. This was our first Recovery Walk for some of us – and definitely won’t be the last!
