On the 14th of May 2024 GRACE hosted the Remembering Together celebrations at Hillhead community centre Kirkintilloch with Greenspace Scotland. Walk Run Cycle East Dunbartonshire (WRCED) walking group joined the celebrations and lead the Remembering Together local walk around the community on the day. The film screaming of projects completed by the GRACE collective where showcased on the day for all to enjoy. GRACE members enjoyed planting sweet peas to celebrate recovery and even took one home to grow. A fabulous day was enjoyed by all and the bench can be visited at the community centre next time you are visiting.
Our members and volunteers where able to take part in Naloxone training when the mobile unit visited Hillhead Community Centre Kirkintilloch this month Naloxone is a drug that reverses the effects of a potentially fatal opioid overdose. Administration of naloxone provides time for emergency services to arrive and for further treatment to be given. Following training, ‘take-home’ naloxone kits are issued. Many members and volunteers have also taken part in this training previously as part of our volunteer training programme and whilst attending the yearly Recovery Walk. Learn more about Naloxone
