The rain didn’t stop us… because April 27th was KILTWALK DAY!
Team GRACE – made up of Margaret, Susie, and Dawn – took on the 14.5 mile Big Stroll from Clydebank to Balloch, cheered on by the amazing Kilties and fuelled by plenty of smiles (and maybe a little chocolate too)
The atmosphere was incredible — tartan of every kind, laughter all around, and so much support from fellow walkers and volunteers. Even without the usual big send-off, we were swept up in the energy, the beautiful canal views, and the encouragement of our brilliant supporters.
We crossed the finish line at Loch Lomond with our gold medals, a hot meal, and a final celebration with the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Highland dancers, and more
A huge thank you to everyone who’s donated so far — your support means the world to us.
Another Kiltwalk shoutout goes to the amazing Isobel:
“That was my first time doing the Kiltwalk and I enjoyed every minute of it – even though my feet were soaking! Note to self: better shoes next time! I loved the company of my little GRACE family that was with me, and the atmosphere of the whole thing was amazing. I’ll definitely be signing up for the next one!”
We’re so proud of our walkers who took on the miles with heart, humour, and hope.
