Our members and volunteers where able to take part in Naloxone training when the mobile unit visited Hillhead Community Centre Kirkintilloch this month
Naloxone is a drug that reverses the effects of a potentially fatal opioid overdose. Administration of naloxone provides time for emergency services to arrive and for further treatment to be given. Following training, ‘take-home’ naloxone kits are issued.
Many members and volunteers have also taken part in this training previously as part of our volunteer training programme and whilst attending the yearly Recovery Walk.
