Boclair Academy contacted GRACE by email November 2021 to introduce the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI).
Academy students Emma Jane, Sophie and Sarah chose GRACE via local charity search and liked the fact we are helping people with multiple Recovery and Support needs.
Lynnie invited them to visit and learn more so they could put together a presentation for a competition for the chance to receive 3000 in funding with money from YPI.
On hearing the amazings news that GRACE made it to the the final 8 local charities. Lynnie attended the final presentations and we are please and excited to announce we won!
We thank the students for all there hard work and commitment to our local charity and are grateful for the funds to improve our serenity garden that during Lockdown suffered storm damage and neglect and is in desperate need of some tlc. Our members enjoy the outdoor space and plants that benefit mental health and Wellbeing. Plants to look after provide purpose and achievement. An outdoor quiet place can be essential for busy workshops and provide sanctuary.
